Leavenworth Round 2

The town was so cute, and there were so many little shops to look in, this was a convenient way to get the kids around. Even more convenient that the kids pulled each other!
There were quite a few Christmas shops, but lots of other unique stores. This is only one of many streets of stores.
the girls in front of a snow sculpture of winnie the pooh and tigger, too :)
my little princess playing dress up at night at the hotel
Our rooms were right next to each other so we were able to all hang out at night, too!
Our friend pushing Kylee down the hill
hehe she loved it!
Look to Lexi's left, right by her shoulder. Kylee just hit her with a huge snowball.
my beautiful Lexi
another row of stores with a beautiful view
During the weekend they had all sorts of activities we watched. Here are the 3-6 year olds racing with their broom sticks and pucks. The 1-2 year olds were the cutest to watch!
Our friends daughter, Hayden, throwing a snowball at Kylee. Look at my little smarty pants Kylee blocking the snowball!
Kylee and Lexi refer to Hayden as their sister
Leavenworth at night, so beautiful

Cant wait to go back!!! Hoping for a summer trip if anyone wants to visit us and head up there :)

Leavenworth Winter Wonderland

Along with some good friends of ours, we spent this past weekend in Leavenworth, WA for Ice Fest.
Leavenworth is a beautiful Bavarian village. The village has events year round for specific American holidays, but always in a Bavarian theme.
This lady was so helpful at Ice Fest, directing us to appropriate activities.
We all loved the continuous Bavarian theme.
We carried our sleds with us throughout the 3 day weekend. At every opportunity we went sledding. Being a winter wonderland, we did a ton of sledding!
about to eat a huge chunk of snow

Ice fest had all sorts of activities all weekend. Kylee is trying her hand out at the snowball toss
random Knight at one of the hotels we saw
 she really loved sledding!

My husband sledded into a tree. Good times, good times.
beautifully decorated even at night. We are all hoping to come back next year during December when it turns into a Christmas village.

Fireworks celebrated the end of a wonderful weekend at Ice Fest

We stopped for some sausage and hot cocoa, and Lexi and our friend's daughter danced
one of my favorite memories. Random stopping and sledding.

was a beautiful, scenic 3 hour drive to Leavenworth
cant miss Hawaii...we even have waterfalls in WA!

we love all of the trees here
we drove around looking at houses. Even the locals get into the Bavarian spirit and build/decorate their houses accordingly!
Yes that's right. Christmas trees painted on the side of their house.
At ice fest they do ice sculptures and snow sculptures. Great family time!
 even safeway is painted accordingly!

 mmmm.....snow

downtown rail jam, we watched the snowboarders for awhile, pretty cool
loved all the activities, the theme and all of the sledding. more pictures to come!
