Christmas

On Christmas Eve we always drive around and look at lights. In addition to houses, this year we went to Spanaway park. With over 300 lit up displays, it is the largest light park in the Northwest.

Personally, my favorite, the erupting Volcano.
 gotta have santa
i think this was the girls favorite, they loved the dinosaurs
 also loved the spaceship
can you tell she was having fun?
 blowing me kisses
Santa came!
Santa brought Kylee a bike. She's been on it ever since.
right before my little sweetheart Kylee pushed Lexi off her bike
 how appropriate...Santa brought princess umbrellas
homemade cinnamon rolls, our christmas tradition :)
Lexi's favorite toy that she still hardly puts down, a dog that walks and barks
Christmas presents
all those toys...and of course they are playing in and fighting over the box
riding her bike for the 1st time
not to be outdone, Lexi cruising along
blocks Grammy sent, these are so much fun!
As part of Christmas dinner I made Santa bread from scratch. Turned out pretty good for my first time!

Snow day at Mt. Rainier

it is SO beautiful up there!
we just could not get over all the trees
a real winter wonderland :)

at the base of Mt. Rainier they require you to put snow chains on your tires. We had fun figuring that out.
 Princess Snow Angel Kylee
the girls loved playing in the snow
 eating the snow
 this guy...love him :)
 and sledding
 my little snow bunny

so excited to be in the snow they were dancing!

After a few hours of play we had to drag Kylee back to the car
this is the snow drift outside my window...yeah its taller than the car
there were quite a few avalanche signs
as we exited the base of the volcano we saw a deer eating outside of someone's house, center far left
We had such a great Christmas Eve. I'm not a huge fan of cold weather, but mid thirties and snow was the makings of one of my favorite days ever!

Christmas Cookies

Before we do anything else, please remember those that cannot be with their families, whether its military or others in public service.

Friday we made Christmas cookies (Thanks Grandma Johnston for the cookie cutters, and thanks Aunt Jean for the sugar cookie recipe!)
Saturday we frosted them :) Lexi was a great helper!
Kylee really did try to help out
Ummmm....so.....check out my awesome snowman cookie
and my husband is the little one upper with his beautiful Frosty cookie
 awwwwwwwwww, thanks Josh

We are so blessed to have a husband/father who is really into making cookies/gingerbread houses/cupcakes, some great memories were made this year!

this is the dog that Josh frosted, Kylee bit his head off at the first opportunity
Kylee is holding my phone in her right hand. She is leaving Santa Clause a message with what she would like for Christmas. What I didnt get pictures of was her getting mad that Santa wouldnt answer her (its just a number where you leave a voicemail for Santa)
Merry Christmas to All!
