Christmas Pictures

I took about 200 photos to get just the right picture for our christmas cards. Thank Goodness for digital cameras! Turns out there was no perfect picture, so i ended up picking one of the only pictures where both the girls were sort of looking at the camera. lol.

i didnt use this one but I love kylee's smile here.

eating/crushing/playing with ornaments. the ornaments were on the lower half of the tree for about an hour on photo day. after that, they went right back to where they were for all of the holiday season ~ on the top half of the tree. yes, we had a weird looking tree, but at least i didnt spend all of December cleaning up broken ornaments or yelling at Kylee.

Drumroll please....and the mandatory Christmas picture with a screaming kid and Santa. Kylee wanted nothing to do with Santa so we said, "ok, no big deal, just Lexi and Santa this year." Then once Kylee saw Lexi was okay, she let us put her on Santa's lap. For 10 seconds she did great, and of course the photographer was not paying attention, after 10 seconds Kylee realized where she was and started screaming. Really photographer? Dont you work with kids all day? Dont you know you should be paying attention all the time? GRRRRR. Although to be honest with you, I love this picture and I'm glad we got it. Kylee's not the sit down all prim and proper kind of girl anyways. This cracks me up every time i look at it.

Lexi did great, I've always made sure that she's used to other people holding her besides me.

Next year I'm sure Lexi will be the one screaming, and hopefully Kylee will be sitting okay.

Christmas Eve

My friends neighborhood is really big on decorating for Christmas, so we walked around the neighborhood looking at lights and all the lawn decorations.

For Christmas Eve we went to a friends house, we made Gingerbread houses, a gift bag and a deer cupcake. Lots of activities for the kids!Kylee helped a little bit...

Our completed house. Its been like 20 years since Josh or I have made a gingerbread house. We showed up that night to find out no one had ever made a gingerbread house, so Josh and I were the instructors.

Santa Claus even made an appearance at the party. Kylee wouldnt go anywhere near him, though.

Last Weekend

Last weekend we went to a friend's kids' birthday party, and I found the place where I want to do Lexi's first birthday party. Its awesome the park has a pool, a huge playground, a big covered pavilion and lots of room for a bouncy house or waterslide and for the kids to run around.

Grammy bought this toy for Kylee for her birthday. it actually attaches to a carseat or stroller and because Kylee loves any type of wheel, this is perfect for her. even Lexi loves it!

Kylee had her first sleepover the other night. and what is a sleepover without a movie, juice and popcorn?
